Prayers of Thanksgiving


Perhaps the most neglected type of prayer is a prayer of thanksgiving. While Grace Before Meals is a good example of a prayer of thanksgiving, we should get into the habit of thanking God throughout the day for the good things that happen to us and others. 

In the silence of the heart God speaks. If you face God in prayer and silence,

Thank You Prayer

 

Heavenly Father, thank you for your amazing power and work in our lives. Thank you for your kindness and for your blessings over us. Lord, thank you that you are Able to bring hope through even the hardest of times, strengthening us for your will. Father, thank you for your great love and care. We thank you for your mercy and grace. Thank you for you are always with us and will never abandon us.

Thank you for your selfless sacrifice so that we can have freedom and life. Forgive us Lord, for when we don’t thank you enough, for who you are, for all that you do, for all that you’ve given. Help us to give our eyes and our hearts on you afresh. Renew our spirits, fill us with your peace and joy. We love you and we need you, this day and every day.

 

We give you praise and thanks, for You alone are worthy!
